Platform/DevOps Engineer (Kubernetes-Linux-Azure Local)
Armada is seeking a collaborative and detail-oriented Platform/DevOps Engineer to join our growing Edge team. In this role, you will focus on the deployment, automation, and operation of our hybrid Azure Local and Kubernetes-based deployments on bare-metal infrastructure. You will support our Galleon mobile data centers and AEP integration, ensuring the reliability and performance of our distributed computing platform across diverse edge locations.
Key responsibilities include deploying and managing Azure Local environments on bare-metal servers across edge data centers, configuring and managing Kubernetes clusters across on-prem (Galleon) and cloud (Azure) environments, and administering and monitoring the health, performance, and capacity of Kubernetes clusters and underlying infrastructure. Additionally, you will implement and maintain Kubernetes networking solutions (CNI plugins) and storage solutions (CSI drivers, PV/PVC).
The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or Platform Engineering roles, with a minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience administering production Kubernetes clusters. Proficiency in Linux administration and system troubleshooting, as well as practical experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools like Terraform, Ansible, and scripting in Python or Bash, are essential. A solid understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls, and load balancing is also required.
