Platform Software Engineer
EarnIn is seeking a Platform Software Engineer to join our team in Bengaluru, India. As a pioneer in earned wage access, EarnIn provides real-time financial flexibility to individuals living paycheck to paycheck. This role is integral to designing, automating, and optimizing our cloud infrastructure, enabling rapid development and scalable solutions across teams and systems.
In this position, you will develop AI agents to automate platform operations, including service and infrastructure bootstrapping, intelligent incident diagnosis, and self-healing infrastructure. Responsibilities also encompass identifying and eliminating repetitive workflows through AI, supporting our Kubernetes platform on AWS EKS, and enhancing developer experience by maintaining self-service actions. Additionally, you will strengthen operational excellence by monitoring service level objectives and utilizing tools like Datadog to improve system reliability.
The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, with over three years of experience in platform, infrastructure, or backend engineering. Proficiency in Kubernetes (EKS), cloud-native architectures on AWS, and strong coding skills in Go and/or Python are essential. Experience in building AI agents, automating workflows with AI, and familiarity with GitOps (ArgoCD) and CI (GitHub Actions) for multi-service systems are highly valued. Excellent communication skills and a mission-driven mindset are also important.
