Principal Data Scientist, Operations

Mission Lane is seeking a Principal Data Scientist to enhance machine learning models that drive efficient financial decisions and support customer progress. This role involves designing, developing, and deploying models to address practical business challenges, collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop new data sources, and improving modeling methodologies with a focus on sound risk management.

The ideal candidate will have a PhD in a quantitative field with at least 3 years of relevant experience, or a BS/MS with 7+ years in a related role. Proficiency in creating, deploying, and managing supervised learning models in production systems is essential, along with strong software engineering practices, including test-driven development and code reviews. Experience with the PyData stack (numpy, scikit-learn, pandas) and familiarity with tools like Spark, Kubernetes, Airflow, and MLFlow are highly desirable.

Compensation includes an annual base salary ranging from $183,000 to $204,000, with additional incentives and equity opportunities.
