Senior Manager, Content Strategy
Mission Lane, a purpose-driven fintech company founded in 2018, is seeking a Senior Manager of Content Strategy to lead content initiatives that enhance customer engagement and support financial literacy. The role reports directly to the Chief Marketing Officer and is integral to the company's mission of empowering individuals to build or rebuild their credit and improve their financial lives.
In this position, the Senior Manager will develop and execute a comprehensive content strategy that spans search optimization, AI integration, and owned channels. Key responsibilities include creating content optimized for AI-powered search surfaces, establishing a multisource content model involving professional writers, influencers, AI tools, and internal experts, and implementing a PR and citation strategy to enhance brand visibility. Additionally, the role involves monitoring brand sentiment across social and community platforms and managing content infrastructure for customer-facing tools such as chatbots and knowledge bases.
Candidates should have over five years of experience in content strategy, content marketing, or SEO-driven editorial roles, with deep expertise in SEO, including E-E-A-T and YMYL content standards. Experience with GEO/AEO, creating content structured for large language model comprehension and AI-powered search surfaces, is essential. Proficiency with analytics tools like SEMrush, Ahrefs, or Google Search Console, and the ability to manage a multisource content model, are also required. Strong writing and editorial judgment, along with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally with product, engineering, legal, compliance, and customer experience teams, are crucial.
The compensation package includes an annual base salary ranging from $152,000 to $191,000, with additional incentives through annual programs and equity participation.
