Program & Events Manager
Plug and Play Tech Center is seeking a Program & Events Manager to oversee the planning and execution of small to medium-scale events. This role involves managing budgets, vendor relationships, logistics, and production schedules to ensure seamless and engaging experiences. The successful candidate will collaborate with speakers, startups, and cross-functional teams to align on goals and deliver brand-aligned events.
Key responsibilities include developing detailed event proposals, timelines, and production schedules; estimating costs and tracking expenses to adhere to approved budgets; sourcing and managing vendor relations; and coordinating with external vendors and contractors. The manager will also oversee event setup and logistics, coordinate cross-functional teams, serve as the main point of contact for attendees and stakeholders, and conduct post-event evaluations to analyze success metrics and identify areas for improvement.
The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor's degree in a related field, be detail-oriented and highly organized, and thrive in a fast-paced environment. Strong process and analytical skills to identify inefficiencies and create improvements are essential, along with excellent communication skills and proficiency in public speaking. Self-motivation and the ability to work with minimal supervision are also required. A passion for early-stage venture capital, startups, and entrepreneurship, with a good understanding of emerging technologies, is highly desirable.
