Project Veiligheidskundige / HSE-adviseur
As a Project Veiligheidskundige / HSE-adviseur at BESIX Nederland, you will be an integral part of the BESIX QHSE team within the Business Unit Europe. Reporting to the QHSE manager at the corporate level and the project manager on-site, your primary focus will be on project-level responsibilities. BESIX Nederland is renowned for its multidisciplinary approach to complex and innovative projects, ranging from civil engineering works like bridges and sluices to iconic buildings such as the Sluishuis and the Grotiustorens.
In this role, you will support the project manager in implementing the Safety Culture Program and the BESIX Nederland safety management system. Your duties include conducting risk analyses, developing and reviewing project-specific safety plans and procedures, and ensuring compliance with HSE plans through inspections and coordination. You will also investigate incidents, perform trend analyses, and provide recommendations to prevent future occurrences. Additionally, you will participate in project meetings, liaise with clients and regulatory bodies, and contribute to HSE knowledge dissemination within the project and the broader BESIX Nederland organization.
The ideal candidate possesses a higher professional education (HBO) level, preferably in safety engineering, and holds at least a Middelbare Veiligheidskunde (MVK) certification, with a Hogere Veiligheidskunde (HVK) being advantageous. A minimum of three years' experience as a safety professional in the construction sector, particularly in civil and/or structural projects, is required. Familiarity with applicable (international) health and safety regulations, as well as standards like VCA, ISO 45001, and the Safety Ladder, is essential. Strong written and verbal communication skills in Dutch are mandatory, and proficiency in English is considered a plus.
