Canonical is seeking a Public Cloud Project Manager to oversee multiple projects for Tier 1 Enterprise Public Cloud accounts. This role involves collaborating with stakeholders ranging from software engineers to senior executives, ensuring that projects align with both Canonical's and clients' objectives. The position is remote, based in the Americas region, with periodic international travel required.

Key responsibilities include delivering projects within agreed schedules, scopes, and budgets, identifying and mitigating technical and project risks, and maintaining strong customer relationships. The Project Manager will conduct regular status meetings and business reviews, manage third-party deliverables, and advocate for Canonical's technologies to clients.

The ideal candidate will have a proven background in the IT cloud industry as a software development project manager, IT program/project manager, agile software manager, or scrum master. A deep understanding of Linux, open source, and the public cloud space is essential, along with software engineering experience. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, experience leading cross-cultural, remote, and global project teams, and strong negotiation and influencing skills are also required. A bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline, along with project management certifications such as PMP or Scrum Master, is preferred. The role requires the ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally.

Canonical offers a distributed work environment with twice-yearly in-person team sprints, a personal learning and development budget of USD 2,000 per year, annual compensation reviews, recognition rewards, annual holiday leave, maternity and paternity leave, a Team Member Assistance Program and Wellness Platform, opportunities to travel to new locations to meet colleagues, and Priority Pass and travel upgrades for long-haul company events.

Joining Canonical means becoming part of a pioneering tech firm at the forefront of the global move to open source. As the publisher of Ubuntu, one of the most important open-source projects and a platform for AI, IoT, and the cloud, Canonical is changing the world of software. The company recruits globally, sets high standards for its team, and offers a remote work environment that challenges employees to think differently, work smarter, learn new skills, and raise their game.
