Purchase Assistant

The Purchase Assistant at Six Construct, a subsidiary of the BESIX Group, plays a crucial role in ensuring the timely procurement and delivery of materials and services essential for the company's diverse construction projects. In this role, the Purchase Assistant is responsible for preparing and managing purchasing activities, including receiving Purchase Requisitions (PRs), issuing Requests for Quotation (RFQs), and preparing Purchase Orders (POs) while coordinating with vendors. The position involves expediting material deliveries to ensure timely arrival at project sites, preparing internal documents such as memos and reports, and coordinating with project sites and internal departments regarding open POs and pending issues.

Candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain, or a related field, along with a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar procurement or purchasing role within construction companies. Strong communication, negotiation, and vendor-management skills are essential, as well as proficiency in MS Office applications like Excel, Word, and Outlook. Knowledge of procurement processes and ERP systems is considered advantageous.
