Purchaser

The Purchaser role at Six Construct, a subsidiary of the BESIX Group, is integral to the company's operations in the Middle East. As the largest Belgian construction company in the region, Six Construct specializes in commercial and residential buildings, sports and leisure facilities, infrastructure, and marine-related projects. The procurement team ensures that these projects run efficiently, on schedule, and within budget by securing the right products at the right time and cost.

Key responsibilities include preparing and administering all purchasing activities for materials and services. This involves receiving and reviewing Purchase Requisitions, issuing Requests for Quotation, negotiating prices and delivery terms, and issuing Purchase Orders. The Purchaser also coordinates with vendors, follows up on delivery schedules and payment statuses, and procures various items such as MEP materials, structural steel, fasteners, and safety equipment. Regular coordination with requisition owners, suppliers, and internal departments is essential to ensure smooth procurement workflows.

Candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain, or a related field, along with a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar procurement role within construction companies. Strong negotiation, communication, and vendor-management skills are crucial, as well as knowledge of procurement processes and supply-chain best practices. Proficiency in MS Office and ERP procurement modules is considered an advantage.
