QA Automation Engineer
Armada is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive QA Automation Engineer to join our Quality Assurance team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining automated UI tests to ensure the delivery of high-quality web and mobile applications. You will work closely with developers, designers, and product managers to ensure all user interfaces are thoroughly tested and meet usability and functionality standards.
Key responsibilities include designing, developing, and executing automated UI test scripts using tools such as Playwright or WebDriver IO. You will maintain and enhance the automation test framework for web and mobile applications, integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines for continuous validation, and perform functional, regression, and cross-browser/device testing. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and translate them into test cases, as well as documenting and tracking defects using bug tracking tools like JIRA, are also essential aspects of this role. Additionally, you will continuously identify opportunities to improve the testing process and automation coverage.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, along with 3+ years of experience in UI test automation. Proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript for test development is required, as well as experience with testing frameworks such as Playwright or WebDriver IO. A solid understanding of web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and responsive design testing is essential. Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or CircleCI, and strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail are also important.
Preferred qualifications include experience with mobile automation tools like Appium, knowledge of BDD frameworks (e.g., Cucumber, Gherkin), exposure to performance and accessibility testing tools, and familiarity with cloud-based testing platforms like BrowserStack or Sauce Labs.
