IMC is seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Quantitative Researcher to join our dynamic research team. This role focuses on curating and analyzing a broad range of trading-related data sources, including traditional market data, fundamental datasets, and other vendor-supplied information. The successful candidate will contribute to the development of innovative trading strategies and support data-driven decision-making processes.

Key responsibilities include curating, cleansing, and validating large volumes of market data, particularly US equity and equity options. The role also involves integrating, preprocessing, and evaluating fundamental and alternative data sources, building and maintaining robust data pipelines for research and live trading environments, and performing data analysis and statistical modeling to identify market patterns and inefficiencies. Collaboration with data acquisition teams, software engineers, and traders is essential to ensure data quality and translate research into production-grade models and tools.

Candidates should have at least 3 years of experience in a quantitative research or data-focused role within financial markets, ideally in a systematic trading environment. Proven experience with diverse trading and financial data, advanced proficiency in Python, and experience with databases (SQL) and handling large datasets efficiently are required. Familiarity with real-time data systems, tick-level data processing, statistical and machine learning techniques, and a strong understanding of the data vendor landscape are also important. Exceptional attention to detail, a systematic approach to problem-solving, and strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.

IMC offers a competitive base salary ranging from $200,000 to $275,000 USD. In addition to the base salary, full-time, permanent positions are eligible for a discretionary bonus and comprehensive benefits, including paid leave and insurance.
