Quantitative Researcher - Options
IMC Trading is seeking a Senior Quantitative Researcher to join its options quant team in Chicago. This role involves leading projects and mentoring junior researchers within a collaborative environment that combines trading expertise with advanced quantitative research.
Key responsibilities include evaluating existing algorithms, identifying areas for system improvement through mathematical and trading knowledge, rapidly prototyping new algorithmic ideas (preferably using Python), implementing these ideas into full-scale production trading, and mentoring graduate quantitative researchers.
Candidates should possess a Master's or PhD in a highly quantitative field, have at least five years of experience in financial services or a quantitative environment, demonstrate project or people management experience, exhibit strong programming skills (preferably in Python, Java, or C++), have a proven track record in quantitative modeling and algorithm development, and possess experience with options pricing.
The base salary for this position ranges from $175,000 to $275,000 USD. In addition to the base salary, full-time, permanent positions are eligible for a discretionary bonus and benefits, including paid leave and insurance.
