The Regional Human Resource Manager at Public Storage plays a pivotal role in aligning teams under a unified vision that emphasizes employee engagement, customer satisfaction, and business outcomes. This position involves direct collaboration with Field Managers to provide HR guidance, focusing on employee relations and coaching frontline leaders. Key responsibilities include serving as a credible resource and balanced advocate for both the business and employees. The role involves assisting management in addressing employee relations concerns to maintain a positive work environment, investigating and resolving routine employee relations issues, and preparing documentation and reports on investigative activities. Additionally, the HR Manager develops and reviews performance counseling documents, provides direction and coaching to District Managers, and partners with HR and legal teams to ensure consistent application of company policies and compliance with employment laws.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5-7 years of human resources management experience with an emphasis on employee relations, or at least 3 years of direct employee relations experience. A solid understanding of federal and state employment and labor laws, including FMLA, EEO, ADA, and FLSA, is required. Experience with multi-site or multi-state operations, particularly in retail, is advantageous. The candidate should demonstrate the ability to prioritize, multi-task, and provide efficient resolutions, along with strong interpersonal and analytical skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with systems like Navex Global, Workday, and EthicsPoint are preferred. A B.A. degree in Human Resources or Business Administration and PHR/SPHR certification are also preferred.

Public Storage offers a competitive compensation package, with a base pay range of $90,000 to $120,000 annually. Compensation may vary based on qualifications, skills, experience, and location. The company provides additional discretionary bonuses or incentives as part of its total rewards approach. Employees are expected to work in the office five days each week, with the option to take up to three flexible remote days per month.
