Renewals Sales Manager, Americas
The Renewals Sales Manager, Americas, will lead Canonical's regional sales renewal team in North America, focusing on managing and expanding relationships with existing clients. This role is integral to Canonical's mission of accelerating the global adoption and quality of open-source software, particularly through its flagship product, Ubuntu, which is widely used in public cloud computing and favored by software engineers, data scientists, and AI developers.
Key responsibilities include developing and executing territory plans to prioritize outreach and prospecting, allocating accounts to sales representatives, and identifying new accounts for targeted marketing. The manager will oversee the creation of high-quality account plans, monitor pipeline development through various channels, support contract closures to meet and exceed sales targets, and collaborate with customer success teams to identify growth opportunities. Maintaining accurate pipeline data and forecasts within Salesforce is also essential.
Candidates should possess a bachelor's degree, preferably in engineering or computer science, along with leadership and management experience. A background in open-source technology and solutions, enterprise software or technology sales planning and execution, and a proven track record in achieving sales targets and securing new accounts are required. Strong planning, organization, and reporting skills, self-discipline, motivation, and proficiency in professional written and spoken English are also necessary. The ability to travel for customer engagements, industry events, and company meetings is expected.
