The Sales Development Associate (Inside Sales) at Appier is responsible for sourcing new sales opportunities through inbound lead follow-up and outbound cold calls and emails for the Japan market. This role is integral to Appier's Growth Team, focusing on expanding the company's client base and enhancing market presence in Japan. Appier is an AI-native Agentic AI as a Service (AaaS) company that uses artificial intelligence to power business decision-making, with a mission to turn AI into ROI by making software intelligent.

Key responsibilities include executing prospect attack campaigns via cold-calling, email, and social media to generate new clients. The associate will partner with experienced Business Development and Enterprise Solutions Sales teams to qualify opportunities, fill pipelines, and assist in closures. Maintaining active engagement with new and existing leads through creative follow-up communications designed to increase customer interest in Appier's product suites is also essential. Additionally, the role involves assessing competitors by analyzing and summarizing competitor information and trends to identify sales opportunities, conducting in-depth market research to expand and manage the database of prospects within the assigned territory, and using tools and technologies to improve process efficiency, including periodically reviewing and updating the customer relationship management (CRM) system, Salesforce.

The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 1 year of inside sales experience or equivalent experience in prospecting activities such as cold calling, email outreach, and social media outreach. They should be self-motivated, able to adapt to an ambiguous, fast-paced sales environment, and possess a strong phone presence with experience dialing dozens of calls per day. The ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively, along with strong problem-solving abilities, is crucial. Crisp oral and written communications in both English and Japanese are required. Professional knowledge of terminology, trends, and concepts of digital marketing is considered a plus.
