Sales Engineer - Boltline
Stoke Space is seeking a Sales Engineer for Boltline, a cloud-based platform designed for complex hardware engineering and manufacturing. Boltline offers real-time inventory tracking, parts and process traceability, automated workflows, and seamless collaboration, supporting everything from prototyping to production while maintaining ITAR compliance. The Sales Engineer will play a pivotal role in driving new sales opportunities and providing technical expertise to prospective customers.
In this role, the Sales Engineer will provide consultative, technical sales expertise to prospective Boltline buyers, qualifying leads based on industry, hardware development scenarios, and organizational culture. They will own and elevate the end-to-end demo experience, refining existing materials to captivate prospects from first touch to trial, tailored for global hardware innovators. Additionally, they will represent Stoke’s hardware development methodologies, track sales blockers, software roadmap priorities, feature requests, and competitive tools, and maintain trusted advisor continuity with customers throughout contract agreements. The role also involves driving new customer acquisition and sales of new Boltline modules to existing customers, collaborating with Customer Success Managers to ensure seamless transitions while focusing on winning new deals.
Candidates should have 4-8 years of professional experience working with complex hardware, such as introducing new mechanical, electronic, scientific, or related software products. A minimum of 3 years in B2B commercial team experience driving sales of advanced technology solutions, including 6 or 7-figure annual deals, is required. A history of winning contracts with engineering and manufacturing decision-makers is essential. Experience as a customer, vendor, consultant, or implementer for one or more of CAD, PLM, MES, ERP, and/or SCM systems is preferred. Preferred industry experience includes Aerospace, Defense, Climate Tech, AEC, Energy, Robotics, or other hardware-centric markets that require constant learning. Strong communication skills to engage with a range of audiences, from engineering students to founders of new space companies in the US, EU, and Japan, are necessary. The role requires the ability to travel up to 30% per year.
Compensation for this role ranges from $110,985 to $150,150 annually, with equity options available.
