Security Engineer
AlertMedia is seeking a Security Engineer to join our security and compliance team. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, including engineering, IT, compliance, legal, and customer-facing departments, to enhance the security posture of our platform and infrastructure. The Security Engineer will play a pivotal role in implementing technical security controls and supporting compliance efforts to ensure the safety and reliability of our services.
Key responsibilities include partnering with engineering teams to design and implement security controls across AWS infrastructure and application architecture. The Security Engineer will enhance monitoring and detection capabilities to support customer security and incident response functions. Additionally, the role involves leading technical aspects of enterprise customer security reviews and architecture discussions, effectively communicating technical concepts to both internal teams and customers.
The ideal candidate will have over three years of experience in security, compliance, and security engineering. Proficiency in securing AWS environments, including IAM, VPC, KMS, WAF, Security Hub, GuardDuty, and Macie, is essential. Experience with SOC 2 and/or ISO audits, integrating security into CI/CD pipelines, and supporting customer security reviews is also required. Strong project management skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities are critical for success in this role.
