Sr. Software Engineer (Elixir)

AlertMedia is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our dynamic team in Mexico City. As a key member of our engineering department, you will contribute to the development of scalable applications that support our mission to keep people safe and informed during emergencies. This role offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies in a collaborative and innovative environment.

In this position, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining applications using Elixir, Python, and JavaScript. Your day-to-day tasks will include collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions, leveraging AI tools throughout the development lifecycle, and ensuring the performance and scalability of our platform. You will also participate in Agile methodologies, utilizing tools like Git, JIRA, and CircleCI to manage workflows effectively.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in a technical field and 6-8 years of experience building scalable applications with modern frameworks, including Elixir, Python, JavaScript, Django, and React. Proficiency with Amazon Web Services (AWS), Postgres, and Redis is essential. Strong organizational skills, the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, and excellent communication skills are required. English proficiency, both written and oral, is necessary for this role.
