Security Engineer
BrainRocket is seeking a Security Engineer to join our dynamic team. This full-time, office-based role is available in one of our hubs located in Belgrade, Serbia; Lisbon, Portugal; Sofia, Bulgaria; or Warsaw, Poland. The final location will be determined based on business needs and the feasibility of relocation from your current location. In this role, you will be responsible for managing security systems, including Data Loss Prevention (DLP), Extended Detection and Response (XDR), and Network VPN gateways. Your day-to-day tasks will involve implementing and maintaining security control policies, ensuring the security system infrastructure is updated and patched, integrating security systems with new IT solutions, and closely collaborating with vendor support to debug security system software issues. Additionally, you will continuously monitor network activity and system loads, review vendor notifications regarding security system maintenance and vulnerabilities, and identify potential threats and vulnerabilities within the security systems.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in IT infrastructure administration or information security roles. Advanced administration skills in macOS, Windows, and Linux operating systems are essential, including secure configuration, system hardening, access control management, and OS-level troubleshooting. A solid understanding of networking fundamentals, such as IP networking, routing, switching, and network protocol behavior relevant to security analysis, is required. Familiarity with regulatory requirements and standards like ISO27001, ISO27701, PCI DSS, and GDPR is also necessary. Experience in administering and configuring EDR/XDR platforms, enterprise VPN solutions, and DLP systems is highly desirable.
