Security Engineer
BrainRocket is seeking a Security Engineer to join our dynamic team. This full-time, office-based role is available in our hubs located in Belgrade, Serbia; Lisbon, Portugal; Sofia, Bulgaria; and Warsaw, Poland. The final location will be determined based on business needs and the feasibility of relocation from your current location. As a Security Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in safeguarding our IT infrastructure and ensuring the security of our innovative tech products across Fintech, iGaming, and Marketing sectors.
In this role, you will be responsible for managing security systems such as Data Loss Prevention (DLP), Extended Detection and Response (XDR), and Network VPN gateways. Your day-to-day tasks will include implementing and maintaining security control policies, keeping security system infrastructure updated and patched, integrating security systems with new IT solutions, and debugging issues related to security system software in close cooperation with vendor support. Additionally, you will continuously monitor network activity and system loads, review vendor notifications about security system maintenance, and identify potential threats and vulnerabilities.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five years of experience in IT infrastructure administration or information security roles. Advanced administration skills in macOS, Windows, and Linux operating systems are essential, including secure configuration, system hardening, access control management, and troubleshooting at the OS level. A solid understanding of networking fundamentals, including IP networking, routing, switching, and network protocol behavior relevant to security analysis, is required. Familiarity with regulatory requirements and standards such as ISO27001, ISO27701, PCI DSS, and GDPR is also necessary. Experience with administration and configuration of EDR/XDR platforms, enterprise VPN solutions, and DLP systems is highly desirable.
