Security Engineer
BrainRocket is a global company specializing in end-to-end tech products across Fintech, iGaming, and Marketing sectors. With a team of 1,300 professionals, we have established a presence in Cyprus, Malta, Portugal, Poland, and Serbia. We are seeking a Security Engineer to join our team in Lisbon, Portugal. This is a full-time, office-based role with no remote or hybrid options.
The Security Engineer will be responsible for managing security systems, including Data Loss Prevention (DLP), Extended Detection and Response (XDR), and Network VPN gateways. Key duties involve implementing and maintaining security control policies, ensuring infrastructure is updated and patched, integrating security systems with new IT solutions, and collaborating with vendor support to resolve software issues. Additionally, the role includes continuous monitoring of network activity, analyzing potential threats, and responding to security incidents in coordination with the Security Operations Center (SOC) team.
Candidates must have at least 5 years of experience in IT infrastructure administration or information security roles. Proficiency in administering macOS, Windows, and Linux operating systems is essential, along with a solid understanding of networking fundamentals. Familiarity with regulatory standards such as ISO27001, ISO27701, PCI DSS, and GDPR is required. Experience with EDR/XDR platforms, enterprise VPN solutions, and DLP systems is also necessary. Additional skills in scripting languages like Bash, PowerShell, or Python, as well as experience with virtualization platforms and enterprise information security solutions, are advantageous.
