Seeking General Liability Claims Adjusters!

Morgan & Morgan, a leading personal injury law firm, is seeking a General Liability Claims Adjuster to join our team in Detroit, Michigan. This role involves working closely with attorneys to manage a diverse caseload, focusing on general liability claims. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, customer-focused, and empathetic, contributing to our mission of advocating for consumer rights.

Key responsibilities include daily interactions with clients, both existing and potential, through telephone and in-person meetings. The adjuster will order and review medical records, communicate with clients and providers throughout treatment, and obtain necessary documents to support injury or liability positions. Additional duties involve interacting with insurance carriers and healthcare providers to secure records and account balances, negotiating case settlements, and managing case files from intake to closure under attorney direction.

The position requires a bachelor's degree (preferred) and at least two years of experience in a legal position or as an insurance adjuster. Strong negotiating skills, the ability to work collaboratively, and proactive communication with clients, insurance companies, and medical providers are essential. Candidates must be highly organized, capable of multitasking in a fast-paced environment, and possess strong writing and communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and a typing speed of at least 35 words per minute are also required.
