Senior Accountant
Metropolis is seeking a Senior Accountant to join our team in Nashville, Tennessee. As a key member of our finance department, you will play a vital role in maintaining the integrity of our financial records under US GAAP, supporting our mission to build a frictionless, connected, and human world through innovative AI solutions.
In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and posting routine journal entries, executing bank reconciliations, and completing monthly balance sheet account reconciliations. Additionally, you will assist with maintaining the fixed asset subledger, entering vendor invoices, determining month-end accruals, preparing monthly financial statements for real estate partners, and supporting tax compliance efforts.
The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, with 3+ years of professional accounting experience and be a CPA candidate. Strong communication skills, exceptional attention to detail, and a proactive desire to rapidly acquire accounting experience are essential. An interest in leveraging technology and AI tools to streamline accounting processes is also highly valued.
The anticipated base salary for this position is $95,000.00 USD to $115,000.00 USD annually. The actual base salary offered is determined by various factors, including the applicant's qualifications, years of relevant experience, distinctive skills, level of education, certifications, and the location of residence and/or place of employment. Base salary is one component of Metropolis' total compensation package, which may also include access to healthcare benefits, a 401(k) plan, disability coverage, life insurance, stock options, bonus plans, and more.
