Senior Accountant

The Senior Accountant position at Sony Music Entertainment in Taipei involves collaborating with the Accounting Supervisor to ensure accurate monthly and year-end financial reporting, including balance sheet reconciliations. The role also encompasses overseeing Procure to Pay transactions managed by the Global Finance Team and ensuring timely bank compliance activities.

Key responsibilities include assisting with local tax reporting, such as Tax/VAT filings and annual withholding tax reconciliations, supporting internal and external audit processes, and implementing procedures to enhance departmental workflows. The Senior Accountant will also address daily operational issues and undertake additional tasks as assigned by management.

Candidates should possess over four years of relevant accounting experience, with a background in a Big 4 accounting firm considered advantageous. Strong communication and cross-functional coordination skills are essential, along with proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. A deep understanding of accounting standards and regulations is required, as well as problem-solving abilities. Fluency in both Mandarin and English, both verbal and written, is necessary.
