Stoke Space is seeking a Senior AI Infrastructure Engineer to join their IT Internal Tooling team in Kent, Washington. This role focuses on designing, building, and deploying AI-powered tools to enhance internal systems, aiming to accelerate the development of their fully reusable launch vehicle, Nova. In this position, the engineer will be responsible for developing AI-driven internal tools, including large language model (LLM) applications, agentic systems, and intelligent automation. Collaboration with various departments such as engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and finance is essential to identify opportunities for AI integration. The role also involves evaluating and selecting appropriate AI models and frameworks, ensuring robust integration with existing systems, and maintaining high standards of security and compliance.

Candidates should possess a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, with 5–8 years of experience in software engineering and applied AI/ML. A minimum of 2 years in building and deploying production AI or LLM-powered systems is required. Proficiency in languages such as Python, TypeScript, or Go, along with hands-on experience with modern LLM tooling, is essential. Strong software engineering fundamentals, including testing, code review, and CI/CD, are also necessary.
