Senior AI Software Engineer
Stoke Space is seeking a Senior AI Software Engineer to join their Boltline team, focusing on enhancing manufacturing workflows through AI-powered automation. The role involves designing and deploying intelligent systems that automate complex processes and integrate large language models (LLMs) into production systems. Candidates can work remotely or from the Kent, Washington office.
Key responsibilities include developing agentic systems to automate multi-step manufacturing processes, building and maintaining retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) pipelines with vector databases, and creating evaluation frameworks to monitor AI system performance. The role also involves developing developer tools, integrating LLM APIs, and designing full-stack features using React, TypeScript, GraphQL, and Postgres. Collaboration with product and hardware teams to identify AI augmentation opportunities and mentoring engineers on AI/ML best practices are also essential aspects of the position.
Applicants should have at least 4 years of professional software development experience, with hands-on expertise in building agentic systems and AI-powered automation. Experience in developing RAG architectures, integrating vector databases, and deploying semantic search implementations is required. Proficiency in full-stack development, including TypeScript, React, GraphQL, and relational databases, is essential. Familiarity with LLM APIs and orchestration frameworks is also necessary.
Compensation for this role ranges from $154,350 to $347,235 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
