Senior Artificial Intelligence Specialist
GR8 Tech is seeking a Senior Artificial Intelligence Specialist to join our expanding AI team. This role focuses on applied Generative AI, including internal AI automation, chatbots, AI assistants, and MCP-based services already in production. As a hands-on engineering position, you will build and operate production-grade LLM-based systems across our platform, ensuring they are reliable, maintainable, and practical to operate.
Key responsibilities include owning LLM-based systems from design to production support, designing architectures for Generative AI systems such as RAG, agents, and tool/context serving, and making clear trade-offs between quality, latency, cost, and complexity. You will also set engineering standards for building and operating AI systems in production and act as a technical reference point for applied Generative AI.
The ideal candidate will have a strong software engineering background with proven experience building LLM-based systems in production. Hands-on experience with LLMs and RAG architectures, chatbots or conversational AI systems, and tool/function calling and agent-style patterns is essential. Experience with context or tool-serving systems (MCP or similar), integrating AI into real-time production products, and a solid understanding of performance, scalability, and cost trade-offs are also required. Cloud experience, preferably with AWS, and strong engineering fundamentals in testing, debugging, reviews, and observability are necessary.
