The Senior Associate, Finance & Strategy - G&A, Legal at DoorDash USA is a pivotal role within the Finance & Strategy team, focusing on the General & Administrative (G&A) functions. This position serves as the primary finance partner to the Legal organization, encompassing Litigation, Legal Operations, Corporate Legal, and Product Legal departments. In this capacity, the Senior Associate will collaborate closely with Legal leaders to influence long-term investment decisions, such as determining when to bring work in-house and how to consolidate outside counsel. Responsibilities include building and tracking key metrics for legal expenditures, leading quarterly, annual, and long-range planning for the Legal organization, and managing monthly forecasting, variance analysis, and accruals for legal spend. The role also involves improving consolidated forecasting for the broader G&A Finance team and enhancing planning systems and AI workflows.
Candidates should have over four years of experience in financial planning & analysis or a closely related finance role, with a strong background in budgeting, forecasting, accruals, and variance analysis. Proficiency in advanced financial modeling using Excel or Google Sheets, experience with planning systems or data tools like SQL, and familiarity with AI tools for automation and reporting are essential. Strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships with senior, non-financial stakeholders are also crucial.
The compensation for this role includes a base salary ranging from $104,700 to $154,000 USD, determined based on job-related factors such as skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. Additional benefits encompass a 401(k) plan with employer matching, 16 weeks of paid parental leave, wellness benefits, commuter benefits match, paid time off, and paid sick leave.
