DoorDash is seeking a Senior Counsel for Competition & Litigation to join its expanding Legal team, serving the DoorDash, Wolt, and Deliveroo brands globally. This role involves providing real-time antitrust and competition advice to product and business teams, supporting mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and strategic investments alongside the Corporate Development team, and leading regulatory investigations and inquiries, particularly in Europe.

Key responsibilities include acting as a trusted advisor on antitrust and competition matters, delivering practical counsel that enables swift business decisions while managing risk. The role also involves advising on the competition aspects of M&A transactions, strategic investments, and commercial partnerships, managing global antitrust and competition regulatory investigations, and assisting in building DoorDash's international competition compliance program. Additional duties encompass supporting competition-related litigation matters, including document collection, witness preparation, and responses to third-party subpoenas, as well as collaborating with policy and government relations teams to monitor legal and regulatory developments affecting the business.

Candidates should possess a Juris Doctor (J.D.) and be qualified to practice law, with 7-9+ years of experience at a leading law firm or in-house legal department. A strong foundation in antitrust and competition law is essential, covering M&A counseling, litigation, and regulatory/government investigations. Experience advising on competition issues in mergers, acquisitions, and strategic investments, including regulatory filings and clearance strategies, is required. Candidates should have experience handling antitrust and competition regulatory inquiries or investigations, ideally with direct engagement with regulators such as the European Commission, UK Competition and Markets Authority (CMA), U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ), Federal Trade Commission (FTC), or other competition authorities. The role requires the ability to operate as a generalist across a broad portfolio, translating complex antitrust concepts into clear, actionable guidance for product and business teams. Comfort with working across multiple jurisdictions and legal systems, particularly in advising across global brands, is necessary. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple concurrent workstreams in a fast-paced environment are important, as is outstanding oral and written communication with sound judgment on when to escalate issues.

The compensation for this role includes a base salary ranging from $214,200 to $315,000 per year, determined based on job-related factors such as skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. In addition to the base salary, the compensation package includes opportunities for equity grants. DoorDash offers a comprehensive benefits package, including a 401(k) plan with employer matching, 16 weeks of paid parental leave, wellness benefits, commuter benefits match, paid time off, paid sick leave, medical, dental, and vision benefits, 11 paid holidays, disability and basic life insurance, family-forming assistance, and a mental health program.
