Senior Business Director - Investment
The Senior Business Director - Investment at WPP Media is responsible for managing end-to-end media investment execution across television and digital platforms. This role involves negotiating rates, securing competitive benchmarks, ensuring optimal inventory utilization, maintaining strong vendor relationships, and delivering high-quality investment outputs in compliance with processes and budgets. Additionally, the director supports client-facing teams with insights, market intelligence, and ensures delivery aligns with client expectations.
Key responsibilities include leading rate negotiations and deal structuring with television broadcasters and digital publishers, executing investments across various media platforms, securing competitive cost-per-rating points (CPRPs) and cost-per-thousand impressions (CPMs), and negotiating value-added opportunities such as sponsorships and integrations. The role also involves tracking and reporting investment efficiency metrics, aligning TV and digital schedules for seamless campaign delivery, maintaining accuracy in deal reporting and reconciliations, and ensuring adherence to financial processes and audit compliance. Building and sustaining strong relationships with media partners and collaborating closely with client servicing and planning teams are also essential aspects of the position.
The ideal candidate should have 10-12 years of relevant experience, with proven expertise in television investment, negotiations, CPRP optimization, and inventory management. A working knowledge of digital investment, including display, video, over-the-top (OTT), and social platforms, along with key metrics such as CPM, CPC, CTR, and viewability, is required. Strong vendor relationship management, commercial acumen, attention to detail, compliance focus, operational efficiency, and excellent stakeholder management and communication skills are essential for success in this role.
