The Orchard, a leading full-service music distribution company operating in 48 markets worldwide, is seeking a Senior Coordinator of Royalties to join their team in New York. This role is pivotal in ensuring that high-profile artists and labels receive accurate and transparent reporting and payments. The position reports to the Manager of Royalties and requires in-office presence four days a week.

Key responsibilities include supporting monthly, quarterly, and semi-annual accounting processes to ensure timely and accurate statements and payments. The role involves managing third-party payee accounts and contracts, coordinating with Contract Administration and Business Affairs to address complex contractual commitments, and responding efficiently to internal and external queries regarding reporting and payments. Additionally, the Senior Coordinator will collaborate with internal stakeholders to maintain the efficiency and accuracy of the accounting process, document best practices, handle client statement delivery, investigate royalty discrepancies, and assist with audits.

The ideal candidate will have experience in a royalty analysis or reporting-based role, with a background in the music industry being highly advantageous. Proficiency in royalty systems such as RoyaltyShare or Curve is desirable. Strong communication, mathematical, and analytical skills are essential, along with advanced knowledge of Excel, including the ability to run formulas and Pivot Tables. The candidate should be a team player, capable of working independently, highly organized, and able to perform under the pressure of regular deadlines. The ability to present detailed numeric information clearly and concisely, and to maintain a positive attitude in a dynamic environment, is also important.
