Senior Corporate Accountant
The Senior Corporate Accountant at Diligent Corporation will oversee key aspects of the financial statement close process at the corporate level, including financial reporting and multi-entity consolidation. This role ensures the proper application of US GAAP for various processes, such as ASC 842 Leases, ASC 718 Stock Compensation, ASC 470 Debt, ASC 350 Intangibles - Goodwill & Other, ASC 805 Business Combinations, transfer pricing, and other technical accounting matters. Reporting to the Senior Director of Corporate Accounting, the position offers high visibility within the organization and the opportunity to contribute to company-wide initiatives.
Key responsibilities include managing the monthly, quarterly, and annual general ledger closing processes, accounting for equity compensation and incentive awards, calculating transfer pricing, and handling cross-border transactions. The role also involves performing accounting for internally developed software, preparing journal entries and account reconciliations, supporting revenue recognition processes, and leading statutory audits and filings across international entities. Additionally, the Senior Corporate Accountant will collaborate with various departments, such as finance, tax, legal, and operations, to ensure compliance and streamline processes.
Candidates must possess a bachelor's degree in accounting and hold a CPA certification. A strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP is required, along with a minimum of three years of progressive accounting experience, preferably within the SaaS industry or with a Big 4 accounting firm. Experience with accounting systems like NetSuite, familiarity with AI-assisted tools, and a willingness to adopt emerging technologies are advantageous. The role demands excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
