Senior Counsel
Tyson & Mendes LLP is seeking a seasoned Senior Counsel to join their Atlanta, GA office. This role offers an opportunity to lead high-exposure insurance defense cases within a firm renowned for its innovative approach and commitment to stopping Nuclear Verdicts®. The position emphasizes autonomy, leadership, and strategic litigation management.
The Senior Counsel will independently handle all facets of litigation, including court appearances, depositions, briefs, and trials. Responsibilities encompass developing compelling case themes, managing full case handling duties, and providing leadership and mentorship to less experienced attorneys. Routine client communications and cultivating relationships with existing and future clients are also integral to the role.
Candidates must possess a Juris Doctor from an ABA-approved law school and hold an active Georgia bar license. A minimum of 8 years of solid litigation experience, particularly in litigation support, deposition, and trial preparation, is required. Experience in insurance defense matters is preferred. Proficiency in MS Suite, specifically Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook, along with outstanding communication skills, is essential.
The compensation package includes a base salary ranging from $150,000 to $175,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications. Attorneys are eligible for an annual billable hours bonus starting at $10,000, with additional tiers aggregating at $7,500 each.
