Senior Data Engineer, Growth (Remote)
The Senior Data Engineer, Growth role at ezCater focuses on developing scalable data infrastructure to support the company's mission of transforming the $100 billion catering industry through data-driven insights and innovation. As a key member of the Data Technology team, the engineer will contribute to real-time machine learning, business intelligence, and data governance initiatives. This position offers the opportunity to work directly with executive stakeholders and influence architectural decisions at an executive level.
Key responsibilities include writing and shipping production code, designing high-performance data pipelines using tools such as Snowflake, dbt, Airflow, and AWS, and collaborating with analysts and stakeholders to refine data requirements. The engineer will lead cross-functional initiatives, mentor junior engineers, monitor system performance, and drive improvements in data quality, security, and cost efficiency.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience with data warehousing, data lakes, ELT processes, and enterprise data platforms such as Snowflake, Redshift, or BigQuery. Proficiency in building performant data pipelines across disparate systems, experience with cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure, and mastery in SQL and Python are essential. The ability to work independently and collaboratively, along with a willingness to be part of an on-call rotation, is also required.
The national total target cash compensation range for this position, including base salary and bonus target, is $158,000–$190,000 annually.
