Senior Data Platform Engineer
Riskified is seeking a Senior Data Platform Engineer to join our Data Platform group in Lisbon. This role focuses on ensuring the performance, scalability, and stability of our core data platform products, which are integral to our AI-powered fraud and risk intelligence solutions. As a data-driven organization handling high-volume data ingestion, we require robust infrastructure to support our expanding operations.
In this position, you will lead the development of AI-ready data platform foundations, emphasizing data quality, contracts, observability, and self-service tooling to enhance machine learning and AI-driven products. Responsibilities include administering, provisioning, and monitoring various platform products, as well as developing and maintaining application infrastructure closely integrated with our data platform tools. Additionally, you will guide development teams, mentor team members, and research new technologies from proof of concept to production-grade systems.
The ideal candidate has over six years of experience as a Data Platform Engineer or in a similar role, with a deep understanding of distributed systems related to data ingestion, storage, and access. Hands-on experience with data streaming technologies such as Apache Kafka, Apache Pulsar, Spark Streaming, Kstream, or Apache Flink is essential. A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field is required, along with experience working on high-scale, production-grade projects.
