Senior Data Scientist, Growth
As a Senior Data Scientist for Growth at fal, you will play a pivotal role in building the analytical foundation for our marketing initiatives. This position offers the unique opportunity to establish and shape the growth measurement infrastructure from the ground up, working closely with marketing leadership and company executives to define and implement strategies that will drive fal's acquisition efforts.
In this role, you will be responsible for developing fal's growth measurement systems, including defining event taxonomies, attribution models, channel hierarchies, and reporting infrastructures. You will set up acquisition analytics across various channels such as paid, organic, content, community, and partnerships, progressing from initial instrumentation to a comprehensive view of channel performance. Collaborating with marketing and leadership teams, you will shape top-of-funnel growth strategies, translate early channel signals into actionable recommendations, and design and execute growth experiments to inform future initiatives.
The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of experience in data science, growth analytics, or growth strategy, preferably within product-led growth (PLG) or developer-tools companies. Experience in building growth analytics infrastructure from early stages is essential, along with a strategic mindset that translates measurements into actionable recommendations. Proficiency in channel-level acquisition analysis across multiple platforms, a strong understanding of growth unit economics, advanced SQL skills, and proficiency in Python for analytics and experimentation are required. A solid background in designing and executing growth experiments, including A/B testing and causal inference, is also important.
Compensation for this role ranges from $190,000 to $230,000, complemented by equity and a comprehensive benefits package. Benefits include health, dental, and vision insurance, relocation assistance to San Francisco, and regular team events and offsites.
