As a Senior Data Scientist for Go-to-Market (GTM) at fal, you will serve as the analytical backbone of our revenue organization. Embedded directly within the GTM function, you will own the metrics that assess pipeline performance, sales execution, and revenue forecasting. This high-visibility role involves close collaboration with GTM leadership to shape strategic questions and develop systems that provide insightful answers. You will also partner with Product Intelligence and Data Engineering as part of fal's center-of-excellence data team, acting as the embedded specialist for all GTM analytics.

Key responsibilities include owning the metrics and reporting that drive sales execution, such as pipeline health, quota attainment, conversion rates, sales cycle analysis, account manager coverage, and segment-level economics. You will work directly with sales leadership and revenue operations to translate strategic questions into measurement frameworks and establish weekly operating cadences. Additionally, you will build the data foundations that elevate GTM analytics, including account-manager tracking, territory and quota models, opportunity-stage instrumentation, and representative-level performance views. Conducting rigorous analyses—such as win/loss assessments, lead source effectiveness, segmentation, and expansion drivers—is also a critical part of the role to inform GTM resource allocation.

The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of experience in data science or analytics roles, with at least 3 years specifically in GTM, revenue operations, or sales analytics within an enterprise or B2B SaaS company. Advanced proficiency in SQL and Python for analytics, modeling, and experimentation is required. Deep familiarity with Salesforce data, pipeline mechanics, quota and territory models, and the operational rhythms of an enterprise sales organization is essential. Strong proficiency with dbt and modern analytics stacks, along with comfort in partnering with data engineering on production-grade pipelines, is also necessary. The candidate should demonstrate a proven ability to operate as an embedded analytics partner, building trust with sales leadership and translating ambiguous strategic requests into clear measurements. A demonstrated bias for action, including setting up dashboards, writing SQL, and shipping frameworks independently when needed, is highly valued. A track record of delivering data products that drive behavioral change, rather than just creating dashboards, is also important.

Compensation for this role ranges from $190,000 to $230,000, plus equity and a comprehensive benefits package. fal offers interesting and challenging work with ample learning and growth opportunities. We provide relocation assistance to San Francisco, health, dental, and vision insurance in the U.S., and regular team events and offsites.
