Senior Data Scientist, Innovation Lab - Remote
Experian's Innovation Lab is a dedicated research and development unit focused on enhancing client relationships and acquiring strategic datasets. As a Senior Data Scientist within this team, you will play a pivotal role in developing analytical solutions, prototyping new products, and evaluating data assets. This position reports directly to the Senior Principal Data Scientist.
In this role, you will be responsible for creating advanced machine learning solutions to extract insights from diverse structured and unstructured data sources. Your day-to-day activities will include selecting and applying appropriate machine learning and deep learning techniques, designing efficient data structures, and developing tools for data processing and information retrieval. Additionally, you will analyze large datasets to identify patterns and insights, develop impactful algorithms to solve complex challenges, and validate model performance by assessing return on investment and benefits.
The ideal candidate will possess a Master's degree or higher in Machine Learning, Data Science, AI, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field, along with over two years of experience in AI, data science, or predictive modeling. Proficiency in multiple programming languages, including Python, is essential. Experience with deep learning architectures such as CNNs, RNNs, LSTMs, and attention models, as well as machine learning methodologies like SVM, GLM, boosting, and random forests, is required. Familiarity with open-source tools such as PyTorch, Keras, TensorFlow, scikit-learn, and pandas, as well as experience with large data analysis using PySpark, is also necessary. Experience with large language models and tools in the Generative AI domain, Hadoop, NoSQL technologies, and GPU programming is highly desirable.
Experian offers a competitive compensation package, including a base salary range of $153,075 to $275,535, along with a bonus plan.
