Senior Data Scientist

MariaDB plc is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will collaborate closely with various departments to transform complex data into actionable business insights. As part of a small, highly skilled team, your contributions will directly influence our business operations and decision-making processes.

Your primary responsibilities will include applying advanced analytical methods such as statistical analysis, regression, clustering, forecasting, and classification to address real-world business challenges at scale. You will design and implement comprehensive analytical solutions, encompassing data extraction from platforms like BigQuery and MariaDB, and develop automated reporting systems. Additionally, you will create and maintain data pipelines, analytical frameworks, and tools using Python and SQL, while leveraging AI-powered development tools to enhance efficiency.

We are looking for candidates with over seven years of professional experience in data science or related fields. Expertise in SQL, particularly with BigQuery and MariaDB, is essential, along with strong programming skills in Python or JavaScript. A deep understanding of analytical methods and data architecture is required. Proficiency with AI-powered development tools and excellent communication skills are also important. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, continuously seeking to learn and improve, and capable of managing their own priorities effectively.
