Senior DevOps Engineer
As a Senior DevOps Engineer at Appier, you will be an integral part of our product teams, focusing on building large-scale distributed systems to deliver high-quality services. In this role, you will collaborate with product teams to ensure the high availability, reliability, and stability of our microservices architecture. Your responsibilities will include designing and maintaining observability infrastructure, building and optimizing CI/CD pipelines, developing infrastructure-as-code solutions for scalable service deployment, leading incident response and troubleshooting efforts, driving capacity planning and infrastructure scaling strategies, maintaining comprehensive documentation, and participating in on-call rotations to support production systems.
The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related fields, along with over five years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or infrastructure engineering roles. Strong Linux system administration skills, proficiency in Bash and at least one programming language (such as Python or Go), proven experience deploying and operating production services, familiarity with version control systems like Git, understanding of cloud computing concepts and architectures, and hands-on experience with infrastructure automation and configuration management are essential. Preferred qualifications include experience with container orchestration tools like Kubernetes and Docker, configuration management tools such as Ansible and Terraform, CI/CD platforms like Jenkins and GitLab CI, production experience with major cloud providers (AWS, GCP, Azure), database administration experience with PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, or Cassandra, experience operating large-scale web services and distributed systems, and knowledge of security best practices including firewall configuration and network security.
