Senior DevOps Engineer I

Avetta is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer I to join our team in Lehi, Utah. This role focuses on automating and maintaining infrastructure for both production and development systems, ensuring predictability and security. The successful candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to support our global SaaS platform.

Key responsibilities include automating reproducible infrastructure, supporting both production and development environments, and providing continuous integration and deployment infrastructure using tools like Git, GitHub Actions, and Jenkins. The role also involves maintaining numerous servers through automation with provisioning and configuration management tools such as SaltStack, Terraform, and Packer. Additionally, the engineer will be responsible for responding to and troubleshooting production outages 24/7, managing NOC responsibilities, and implementing disaster recovery systems.

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field, along with a minimum of 5 years of experience in troubleshooting modern container and networking technologies, including Docker, Kubernetes, HAProxy, and ELB. Proficiency in Linux/Unix administration, infrastructure automation, and experience with networking tools like DNS and NAT are essential. Strong knowledge of RESTful architecture design and HTTP protocols is also required.
