Senior DevOps Engineer
The Senior DevOps Engineer at RADAR will play a pivotal role in developing, deploying, and operating cloud, mobile, IoT, embedded, and edge compute solutions. This position is integral to shaping the company's infrastructure, CI/CD processes, and overall developer experience. RADAR is a mission-driven startup focused on transforming physical retail through cutting-edge technology, combining RFID and AI to enhance product visibility and automation at scale.
Key responsibilities include designing, implementing, and maintaining robust CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and Gradle, delivered through Argo CD and Kargo. The role involves managing and scaling containerized applications across cloud and edge environments with Kubernetes, building and managing infrastructure using Terraform, and supporting build, packaging, and deployment workflows for services written in Java, Go, Python, and C++. Collaboration with embedded and systems engineering teams working with Xilinx, Yocto, and other embedded OS environments is essential. Additionally, the engineer will automate and optimize ML Ops workflows for machine learning deployment and validation, improve system reliability, scalability, and security, ensure SOC 2 compliance, and troubleshoot complex issues across distributed systems, including deep debugging within Linux and networking layers.
Candidates must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in DevOps, with a strong background in designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, managing containerized applications with Kubernetes, and building infrastructure using Terraform. Proficiency in supporting build, packaging, and deployment workflows for services written in Java, Go, Python, and C++ is required. Experience collaborating with embedded and systems engineering teams, automating ML Ops workflows, and ensuring system reliability and security across various computing environments is essential. Preferred qualifications include experience integrating iOS/Android mobile build pipelines into larger CI/CD workflows, a background with IoT device regression systems, firmware pipelines, or embedded testing frameworks, and knowledge of monitoring and logging solutions for distributed and embedded environments.
The expected base salary range for this position is $130,000 to $180,000 annually.
