Senior Engineering Manager, Portfolio Accounting
Ridgeline is seeking a Senior Engineering Manager to lead the development of its next-generation Portfolio Accounting engine, a pivotal component of the company's cloud-native platform tailored for investment management. This role involves guiding a team of skilled engineers through the design, development, and deployment of mission-critical backend systems, contributing to strategic decisions, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and technical excellence.
The Senior Engineering Manager will be responsible for overseeing the full software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering to production deployment and support. Key duties include collaborating cross-functionally to deliver high-performance, secure, and accurate portfolio accounting functionalities, driving continuous improvement using agile and kanban methodologies, mentoring engineers to support their professional growth, and designing backend systems utilizing modern frameworks and scalable AWS services.
Candidates should possess over 10 years of software engineering experience with a strong background in cloud-based architecture, including at least 3 years in a hands-on technical leadership role managing teams of 6–8 engineers. Domain experience in Portfolio Accounting, Finance, or Fintech industries is essential. A deep understanding of backend systems, scalability challenges, and distributed computing is required, along with a demonstrated ability to mentor and grow senior engineering talent. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills and a degree in Computer Science, Information Science, or a related technical field are also necessary.
The compensation for this role ranges from $205,000 to $242,500 annually, with final amounts determined by factors such as candidate experience and expertise.
