Senior Forward Deploy Engineer
The Senior Forward Deploy Engineer at Armada is a hybrid role that combines hands-on deployment execution with ongoing technical account ownership across the United States and Canada. This position involves leading platform deployments, ensuring operational maturity, and driving customer success post-deployment. Armada is a full-stack edge infrastructure company delivering compute, connectivity, and sovereign AI/ML solutions to some of the world's most remote places. Named one of Fast Company's Most Innovative Companies, Armada's solutions are deployed in over 60 countries globally for organizations ranging from energy to defense.
Key responsibilities include leading end-to-end deployment of Armada platforms such as Atlas, Galleon with AEP, and Leviathan AI Factory integrated with Bridge GPUaaS. The engineer will execute deployments across the United States and Canada, including multi-site and hybrid environments, and own infrastructure bring-up, platform configuration, and production readiness validation. Additionally, the role involves making real-time technical decisions across hardware, networking, Kubernetes, storage, and GPU layers, partnering with clients to integrate Galleon infrastructure into end-to-end solutions and existing IT ecosystems, and conducting field surveys to facilitate frictionless Galleon deployments.
The ideal candidate will have 8+ years of experience in infrastructure, platform engineering, SRE, forward-deployed engineering, or technical account roles. They should possess deep technical expertise across Linux, networking, Kubernetes, storage, and GPU-accelerated compute, along with strong troubleshooting skills in live, production environments. Experience supporting large enterprise or public sector customers in the US and Canada is essential, as is a willingness to travel across North America as required. Clear, confident communication skills suited for executive and senior engineering audiences are also necessary.
Compensation for this role ranges from $188,000 to $235,000 USD annually, varying based on location, experience, skills, and qualifications. In addition to the salary, this role will also be offered equity and subsidized benefits, including medical, dental, and vision coverage, health savings accounts (HSA), flexible spending accounts (FSA), dependent care FSAs (DCFSA), retirement plan options including 401(k) and Roth 401(k), unlimited paid time off (PTO), and 15 paid company holidays per year.

Employees are encouraged to take ownership, drive autonomy, and deliver impact. The company offers opportunities to work with cutting-edge edge infrastructure, AI workloads, and GPU-as-a-Service technologies in partnership with NVIDIA, Starlink, and Skydio. Professional growth is supported through mentorship, cross-functional leadership, and shaping deployment standards and best practices.
