As a Senior Front-End Software Developer at Vention, you will be an integral part of the Machine Builder team, focusing on advancing Vention's CAD engine and user-experience tools. Collaborating closely with product managers, designers, internal users, and cross-functional engineering teams, you will develop reliable and high-performance front-end solutions that scale with the company's growth. Your technical leadership will shape the long-term direction of the MachineBuilder platform, enabling users to design and prototype custom machines efficiently.

In this role, you will design and build tools that simplify the process for users to create machine solutions for their manufacturing floors. You will take end-to-end ownership of features, writing clean code, designing testing strategies, meeting deadlines, and maintaining high-quality standards. Additionally, you will support and mentor team members, elevate engineering standards, and drive excellence in front-end development. Responsibilities also include analyzing and refactoring legacy code to improve architecture, performance, and maintainability, as well as providing clear APIs and interfaces for other teams and supporting internal product-engineering partnerships.

The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor's degree or higher in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, along with a minimum of 7 years of experience in a similar front-end development role. Proficiency in React and TypeScript, with enterprise-level experience, is essential. A proven track record of applying engineering and high-performance practices to existing codebases, strong experience in writing automated tests, and maintaining high standards of code quality are required. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, a curiosity to learn, a collaborative mindset, and a user-first approach with a keen eye for good UX/UI principles are also important. A humble attitude and willingness to receive feedback are valued.
