Senior Frontend Development Engineer
Appier is seeking a Senior Frontend Development Engineer to join our dynamic team in Taipei, Taiwan. As a leading software-as-a-service (SaaS) company specializing in artificial intelligence (AI), Appier focuses on enhancing business decision-making through intelligent software solutions. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with designers and backend engineers to craft sophisticated web user interfaces and advertising content, delivering high-quality applications within the advertising domain and supporting daily operations.
In this role, you will design and develop reusable advertising UI components, such as banners and video ads, utilizing modern JavaScript frameworks and AI-powered tools. Responsibilities include building and maintaining a modular JavaScript library or SDK to ensure scalable and consistent ad rendering and tracking, optimizing ad content performance through efficient loading strategies and responsive design, and developing integrations with external SSP platforms to ensure compliance with technical standards. Additionally, you will implement and manage analytics tools to monitor user interaction and ad effectiveness, providing actionable insights, and participate in brainstorming sessions to contribute innovative technical solutions across UI/UX, algorithms, and product development. Utilizing AI-powered development tools, such as GitHub Copilot, Tabnine, and Cursor, to enhance coding efficiency and maintain code quality is also expected.
The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript, DOM, HTTP, and web standards, along with knowledge of modern front-end frameworks like React, Vue, or Svelte. Experience in integrating with REST APIs and GraphQL, as well as proficiency with bundlers such as Vite, Webpack, esbuild, and Rollup, is required. Familiarity with Git for version control, ensuring cross-browser compatibility, adherence to coding conventions and documentation standards, and strong problem-solving skills are essential. The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team is also important.
Preferred qualifications include experience with meta frameworks like Next.js, Nuxt.js, or SvelteKit, and proficiency in CSS-in-JS, PostCSS, SASS, or Tailwind CSS. Skills in testing frameworks such as Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress, or Playwright, and experience in web performance optimization using tools like Core Web Vitals, Lighthouse, WebPageTest, and Chrome DevTools are advantageous. Experience in debugging across various web environments, server-side JavaScript runtimes like Node.js, bun, or deno, and familiarity with relational or NoSQL databases are also beneficial. Knowledge of CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or Bitbucket, and containerization with Docker is a plus.
