Senior Full Stack Engineer
Duetto Research is seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer to join our team in Croatia. As a leader in hospitality revenue management systems, Duetto provides innovative SaaS solutions that help hotels, resorts, and casinos optimize revenue and boost profits. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to our mission of redefining hotel revenue strategy through our cutting-edge Revenue & Profit Operating System.
In this position, you will be responsible for designing, delivering, and continuously improving mission-critical software across the full stack. Your work will span from developing GraphQL APIs and Java microservices to creating TypeScript/React frontends. You will own end-to-end feature delivery, participate in migrating our Java monolith to a modern microservices architecture, and operate at the intersection of engineering excellence and AI-augmented development.
Key responsibilities include leading the development of full-stack features and services, resolving complex architectural challenges, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality solutions. You will also facilitate the migration of legacy systems, optimize test coverage using automated end-to-end tests, and mentor peers on AI-assisted development practices. Additionally, you will contribute to improving AI-augmented engineering workflows and coordinate with engineering leadership on architectural direction and process improvements.
The ideal candidate will have 4–6 years of experience in full-stack software engineering, with strong proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, TypeScript, and React. Experience with GraphQL APIs, SQL and NoSQL databases (specifically MongoDB), and end-to-end testing frameworks like Cypress or Playwright is essential. A working understanding of microservices architecture and experience with AI code generation tools are also required. Preferred qualifications include experience in the hospitality technology industry, familiarity with legacy modernization patterns, exposure to Domain-Driven Design principles, and knowledge of AWS infrastructure and CI/CD pipeline management.
