Senior Legal Assistant
Visa is seeking a Senior Legal Assistant to join its Asia Pacific Legal team, reporting directly to the Senior Vice President, Chief Counsel, Asia Pacific. This role is integral to managing Visa's legal affairs across the region, providing strategic advice, and ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory standards. The team is proactive, collaborative, and dedicated to upholding the highest standards of integrity and compliance.
The Senior Legal Assistant will be responsible for a range of administrative and operational tasks, including supporting budget tracking and financial reporting for the AP Legal team, assisting with governance activities such as internal audits, and managing external counsel and vendor engagements. The role also involves establishing and maintaining legal information databases, implementing global legal operations programs, and researching and implementing AI-powered tools to streamline document organization and contract management. Additionally, the Senior Legal Assistant will coordinate volunteering and social engagement events to strengthen team collaboration and foster a positive and inclusive team culture.
Candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent qualification, with 3-5 years of experience in legal operations, compliance, or vendor management. Strong organizational and project management skills, excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities, and proficiency in MS Office are essential. Familiarity with SharePoint and legal technology platforms is a plus, and an interest or experience in AI-driven solutions for process improvement is highly desirable. The ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic global environment, exercise discretion and tact in handling sensitive information, and manage multiple tasks under pressure are also important.
