Senior Legal Counsel - Commercial Law & Intellectual Property
Delivery Hero is seeking a Senior Legal Counsel specializing in Commercial Law and Intellectual Property to join their Legal Team in Berlin. This role is integral to supporting the company's growth by providing proactive legal guidance that aligns business objectives with legal and regulatory standards. The successful candidate will be a key contributor to Delivery Hero's mission of delivering exceptional experiences worldwide.
The Senior Legal Counsel will be responsible for advising on complex commercial transactions and managing high-profile investigations, litigations, and arbitration proceedings across various jurisdictions. The role includes offering product counseling services, advising on platform regulation initiatives globally, and supporting operational functions and management in exploring new business opportunities and strategic partnerships. Additionally, the counsel will contribute to developing Delivery Hero's intellectual property strategy, manage trademark and domain portfolios, execute enforcement activities, and advise on IP and IT aspects of M&A transactions, including post-merger integration and separation activities. The position also involves designing and implementing scalable legal operations and harmonizing internal legal processes across over 65 markets.
Candidates must be fully qualified to practice law in Germany (Volljurist) with over six years of post-qualification experience in a reputable law firm and/or as in-house counsel in an international environment. A proven track record in overseeing complex legal projects, managing senior stakeholders across various business functions, and self-motivation with strong problem-solving abilities are essential. Experience in managing complex contract negotiations, advising on M&A and due diligence projects, and handling large trademark portfolios is required. Proficiency in preparing structured and impactful presentations using Google Slides or PowerPoint is also necessary. The role may require international travel on short notice, not exceeding 10% of annual working time.
