Senior Machine Learning Engineer
The Senior Machine Learning Engineer at EarnIn will play a pivotal role in developing and deploying machine learning models that enhance the company's financial services. Operating within a dynamic team, this position focuses on transforming machine learning models into high-performance, production-level code, ensuring the scalability and robustness of EarnIn's machine learning systems. EarnIn is a fintech company dedicated to providing real-time financial flexibility to individuals living paycheck to paycheck, offering services that allow users to access their earnings as they earn them, without mandatory fees or credit checks.
Key responsibilities include designing, building, and launching efficient and reliable machine learning models to drive business impact. The engineer will train and validate state-of-the-art multi-modal, multi-task deep learning models, considering use-case complexity, performance, and robustness. Collaborating closely with product managers, tech leads, and stakeholders, the role involves analyzing business problems, clarifying requirements, and defining the scope of necessary systems. Additionally, the engineer will work with data platform teams to enable robust, scalable batch and real-time data pipelines and uphold high machine learning and engineering standards through mentoring and knowledge sharing.
Candidates should possess an MS or PhD degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, along with over four years of experience in machine learning engineering. Strong programming skills in Python and data engineering are essential, as is extensive knowledge of machine learning algorithms. Hands-on experience with architectural patterns for large-scale software applications and a proven track record in building and productionizing machine learning systems are required. Excellent oral and written communication skills are also necessary. Experience in natural language processing (NLP) or computer vision (CV) is considered a plus.
